To Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,
according to His power that is at work within us…
Ephesians 3:20 NIV

We moved from Baugh Ave 35 people to 515 N. 80th St. grew to 75 people Went to 2 services at 515 N. 80th and grew from 75 to 250 Moved to Collinsville and went from 250 per week to 700 per week.

OUR FUTURE

Our future home will more than double our capacity to love and lead adults, students, and children, and leave a legacy for the generations to come.

In our current leased facility we are limited to the 700 people who are currently attending, but we know that’s not all God wants to do through us. In 2018, we had 1,234 people in attendance at our Easter services alone, and we know nearly 2,000 people call our church home. Unfortunately, our leased space negatively affects our ability to meet the needs of our members and extend hospitality to newcomers. The purchase and construction of our new facility will allow us to reach so many people who desperately need to experience the love of God and hear the gospel. We must make room for more!

Besides doubling our current capacity to reach people in our weekend services, here are just a few other things VISION 20/20 will enable us to do:

Provide safe, engaging, and fun environments for the approximately 250
children and students who currently call our church home.
Enable 24/7ministry to the community. Having a permanent home will                                                         allow us to meet people’s needs around the clock.
Expand our Community Groups. We will be able to add additional                                                                   meeting space and open up more meeting opportunitiesfor our church                                                           family to learn and grow in their faith.
Open up collaborative space and offices for the 160 volunteers and                                                                 team members to operate in one centralized location.
Give us the capability to literally reach around the world with state-of-                                                           the-art, new technical equipment to share our messages from God’s                                                               Word with every nation.

THE PROJECT

VISION 20/20 will provide us with our own property with nearly 40,000 square feet of worship space in the heart of Collinsville, IL.

Because of the faithful giving of our church family and the good stewardship of our finances, we were able to make a sizeable cash down payment and secure a loan to purchase 6 acres of land with an 18,000-square-foot building on site. Our journey to a permanent home has begun!

VISION 20/20 will help us to secure the needed funds to complete the project before our lease expires in our current location. The project will consist of two phases, which we believe will be completed quickly.

                                     Phase 1—

We have obtained preliminary plans from our architect and have begun discussions                                       with city officials to launch the construction of approximately 20,000sf of new                                             space which will include a 630-seat auditorium, lobbies, a café, bookstore, and
multiuse space. The projected cost for this construction is $3M.

                                     Phase 2—

Concurrent with, or shortly after, the completion of the Phase 1 construction, we will
remodel and retrofit the existing 18,000sf building on the site to create multiple                                           classrooms. This will provide our children and students with safe, age-appropriate,                                         and fun experiences where they can grow in their faith and hear the Word of God                                           taught on their level. In addition to the classrooms for our next generation, the                                               Phase 2 plans also include the remodeling of the building’s existing second-floor                                           office space which will enable our volunteers and teams to operate effectively from                                       one central hub.

We can begin this remodeling and work in stages as the Lord provides the funds.

VISION 20/20 will provide the funds needed to complete the Phase 1 construction.

This is a big step of faith, but together, with God’s help, we can imagine this vision becoming a reality. Individually, each of us can make an impact, but when we work together, we can leave a miraculous legacy that will impact the generations to come. God is going to stretch us and expand us and show Himself faithful on His behalf.

A FINAL NOTE FROM PASTOR DAVID

To be clear, VISION 20/20 is not about a building. We don’t love buildings—we love building victorious disciples for Jesus Christ.

VISION 20/20 isn’t about a program—it’s about reaching people.

I’m asking you to join with me in faith, trusting God to use you like never before to love God, love others, and serve the world so souls can be added to the kingdom.

Begin praying about what God will do through you as we take this next step together into the very exciting future that God has for each of us.

Ephesians 3:20-21 says, “To Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

I’m sure of this: God has greater plans for us as individuals, as families, and as a church than we could ever imagine. May our lives bring Him glory as we take the next step to build up His Church!

What is Vision 20/20?

Living the Word Church began with a simple vision to Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World. True to our church name, we have raised up individuals and families to live by the principles of God’s Word and built hundreds of victorious disciples of Jesus Christ through our church services and outreaches to the community down through the years. While we celebrate the victories of the past and the more than 700 people who consider our congregation their church home, Living The Word Church doesn’t just exist for those who have already been reached with the gospel. There are still so many who do not know Christ—they’re our friends, our family members, our co-workers, our communities, our nation, and the world. What are we going to do to reach them?

VISION 20/20 is about taking our next great step to continuewhat God called us to do back in 1998 when I started as Pastor. To love the unreached and serve the world, there are two important steps we have to take now as a church.

The first step is to SECURE OUR FUTURE. Living The Word Church needs a permanent
home. The lease on our current facility will expire soon, and even if we could
extend it indefinitely, we are out of space! We have maximized every corner of
our existing location, but quite frankly, we are living on borrowed time. We must
take the next step to secure a permanent home where our congregation can thrive.

The second step we must take is to expand and add more seats, so God can
add more souls to His kingdom. Along with the step to secure a permanent
location, we have the opportunity to create more room for people from our
community who need the hope of Christ and a church home like Living the Word
Church. Every time that we have done our part and added seats—through
adding service times, expanding our facilities, or moving to bigger locations—
God has done His part and added more souls!

VISION 20/20 is a supernatural, God opportunity for us to establish our future and to bring more souls into God’s kingdom! This is our moment to expand our reach and to have a major impact on the Metro East, the entire Metropolitan St Louis area, and beyond! We must create an environment where people from every culture, background, and generationcan be reached with the gospel and experience the love of God in a tangible way.

OUR PAST

Since 2007, we have seen amazing growth. God has enabled us to do so much with so little, from the very first location at Baugh Avenue, to the garage we converted into our first children’s church, at 515 N.80th St.,to our current leased space where we share space with another church and have maxed out our two services with limited parking. We have seen His faithfulness at every turn.

Even in our ‘under-dog’ situations with sub-standard facilities, we have focused on preaching the gospel to people from every nation and making disciples for Jesus Christ, and people have continued to come. Every time we have opened more seats for people to come and hear the Word of God and experience His love, God has added souls!
