Our future home will more than double our capacity to love and lead adults, students, and children, and leave a legacy for the generations to come.
In our current leased facility we are limited to the 700 people who are currently attending, but we know that’s not all God wants to do through us. In 2018, we had 1,234 people in attendance at our Easter services alone, and we know nearly 2,000 people call our church home. Unfortunately, our leased space negatively affects our ability to meet the needs of our members and extend hospitality to newcomers. The purchase and construction of our new facility will allow us to reach so many people who desperately need to experience the love of God and hear the gospel. We must make room for more!
Besides doubling our current capacity to reach people in our weekend services, here are just a few other things VISION 20/20 will enable us to do:
safe, engaging, and fun environments for the approximately 250
children and students who currently call our church home.
24/7ministry to the community. Having a permanent home will allow us to meet people’s needs around the clock.
Community Groups. We will be able to add additional meeting space and open up more meeting opportunitiesfor our church family to learn and grow in their faith.
collaborative space and offices for the 160 volunteers and team members to operate in
one centralized location.
Give us the capability to literally
reach around the world with state-of- the-art,
new technical equipment to share our messages from God’s Word with every nation.
VISION 20/20 will provide us with our own property with nearly 40,000 square feet of worship space in the heart of Collinsville, IL.
Because of the faithful giving of our church family and the good stewardship of our finances, we were able to make a sizeable cash down payment and secure a loan to purchase 6 acres of land with an 18,000-square-foot building on site. Our journey to a permanent home has begun!
VISION 20/20 will help us to secure the needed funds to complete the project before our lease expires in our current location. The project will consist of two phases, which we believe will be completed quickly.
We have obtained preliminary plans from our architect and have begun discussions with city officials to launch the construction of approximately 20,000sf of new space which will include a 630-seat auditorium, lobbies, a café, bookstore, and
multiuse space. The projected cost for this construction is $3M.
Concurrent with, or shortly after, the completion of the Phase 1 construction, we will
remodel and retrofit the existing 18,000sf building on the site to create multiple classrooms. This will provide our children and students with safe, age-appropriate, and fun experiences where they can grow in their faith and hear the Word of God taught on their level. In addition to the classrooms for our next generation, the Phase 2 plans also include the remodeling of the building’s existing second-floor office space which will enable our volunteers and teams to operate effectively from one central hub.
We can begin this remodeling and work in stages as the Lord provides the funds.
VISION 20/20 will provide the funds needed to complete the Phase 1 construction.
This is a big step of faith, but together, with God’s help, we can imagine this vision becoming a reality. Individually, each of us can make an impact, but when we work together, we can leave a miraculous legacy that will impact the generations to come. God is going to stretch us and expand us and show Himself faithful on His behalf.
A FINAL NOTE FROM PASTOR DAVID
To be clear, VISION 20/20 is not about a building. We don’t love buildings—we love building victorious disciples for Jesus Christ.
VISION 20/20 isn’t about a program—it’s about reaching people.
I’m asking you to join with me in faith, trusting God to use you like never before to love God, love others, and serve the world so souls can be added to the kingdom.
Begin praying about what God will do through you as we take this next step together into the very exciting future that God has for each of us.
Ephesians 3:20-21 says, “To Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
I’m sure of this: God has greater plans for us as individuals, as families, and as a church than we could ever imagine. May our lives bring Him glory as we take the next step to build up His Church!
